It's Pronounced "Jer-Vay"

I don't know if it's like this in every city, but everywhere I've lived, there's at least one street everyone is continually mispronouncing. And you know that can drive a spinster crazy. In New York, that's Houston, pronounced "house-ton" instead of like Houston, TX. In the town where I went to college, Columbia, SC, one of those streets is Gervais street. Gervais is pronounced "jer-vay," but I've heard all kinds of pronunciations. There's "jervis," and "ger-vase," to name a few. Today, I think I've found a pretty easy solve for this problem: The Gervais Street Tee Shirt.

The Gervais Street tee shirt is almost like a public service announcement. This way, you can help anyone who is confused about the pronunciation of the street name without the embarrassment of having to actually correct them. Because, really, you don't want to come off as a know-it-all. This shirt does that for you!

Not from Columbia? Don't worry. This shirt is sure to start a conversation. Even if you don't know anything about Gervais street, you at least know how to pronounce it, right? And now, so does everyone who reads your shirt.
