5 Ways to Spinster like a Boss on New Years Eve

spinster-new-year, spinster-watching-tv

Well, spinsters, another year has come and gone, and we've found ourselves without a date for New Year's Eve once again. But you know what? Who cares? That just means we can do whatever we want instead of having to compromise on our plans.

In case you don't yet know what you're doing tonight, I have a few suggestions. So, let's get started.

1. Girls' Night Out:
Just because you don't have a date doesn't mean you can't get all dressed up and party it up for New Year's Eve if you so desire. You and your single lady friends can go wherever you want, do whatever you want, and go home as early or late as you'd like. For bonus points, take your own car. Then you're really in charge. Or...you can just call an Uber whenever you're ready to leave.

2. Slumber party:
Do it up old school with Gushers, pizza, and soda, or have a more grown-up version with cheese, fancy desserts, and some sparkling grape juice. Do makeovers while you watch the ball drop, and make use of that new selfie stick you got for Christmas.

3. Treat yo'self:
Not up for a party? Have a blow out and take yourself to a nice dinner before retiring to your own sanctuary for an early night.

4. Stay in:
I have done this many a time for New Year's Eve. Avoiding traffic, drunk people, and all the other noise can be the best way to ring in the New Year. Take a shower and hang around in your bathrobe while you wait for a pizza and watch some Netflix or the countdown. You'll wake up in 2016 well rested and ready for action!

5. Photoshop:
Too lazy to go out but still want everyone to think you had fun? No problem. Just spend your evening photoshopping yourself into other people's party photos so you can post them on Facebook and Instagram later. No one has to know. Here, check out this time I went to a party with all the models.

Now that I'm looking at this photo, I think I should have chosen a party with Danny DeVito instead...You live and you learn.

Well, I hope you have a wonderful New Year. I'll see you in 2016!
